Pura Vida Necklaces!!!

Pura Vida has necklaces now!! It's basically the same material as the bracelets, but longer, and it's got a circular pendant with a "P" on it like the bracelets. I picked my favourite one to share. The rope is mint green in colour:


To be honest, I'm not a big fan of them. It's easier to wear it as a bracelet than a necklace. But they're coming out with some new pendants soon, with different shapes and symbols, so maybe I'll order one then :)

I feel like I'm not doing my job as a campus rep; I didn't even know Pura Vida came out with a bunch of new bracelets until Amy told me :(

So this is a super late post on the new bracelets that they have. Along with the charity pack I mentioned last post, they have bracelets for organizations dedicated to Alzheimer's disease, pancreatic cancer, brain cancer awareness, environmental organizations and so many others. Hope everyone takes some time to take a look at them! They make for really meaningful gifts :)

Extra charitable!!

Recently, Pura Vida put together a little charitable package. They combined all the bracelets they have involved with a charity (Breast Cancer Awareness, Autism Awareness, etc) and it is now available online! They'll also send you a free bracelet along with it!

First off, after a couple of comments about how purple was too sharp for the eyes, I switched it to blue. I didn't think it was though, so it must have been a Y chromosome thing. ANYWAY,

I finally feel like I'm doing my job as a campus rep! I have one bracelet left and it's already got a name on it. Plus, my friend applied to be a campus rep at SFU so now we have our third Canadian Rep! WEEEOOO!!!

Also, I asked everyone I gave a bracelet to to take a photo of themselves so I could put it on here. I'm currently in the process of collecting the pictures so the sooner they send it to me, the sooner I can post them :)

:) I had a feeling it would come in the mail today. I ran in the house, shoes still on, and ripped the envelope open. Amy helped me describe it. Now I know what pure joy feels like. It was like releasing unicorns and rainbows into my kitchen. I wish everyone in the world could experience something like that. I was jumping up and down and giddy and couldn't stop squealing at my beautiful bracelets and stickers :P My lovely sister became my first supporter and chose the platinum bracelet (the one with all the silver beads). THIS IS SO EXCITINGGGG!!! I can't wait to distribute all of these :D :D

Pura Vida, Pure Life

This blog was used for so many purposes before, and now it's headed towards a whole new direction. I'm so excited about this I don't even know where to start :)

So a while back, my friend sent me a text about these bracelets, Pura Vida bracelets. We looked them up and ended up ordering 2 each. My wrist is now displaying the epitome of awesomeness. Anyway, I saw that becoming a campus rep was an option, so we applied. Long story short, we are now waiting for our campus rep packages to arrive in the mail! I'm actually really excited but I'm trying not to sound like a 14 year old by reducing the amount of exclamation marks and excessive capital letters. Did I mention we're the first CANADIAN campus reps? WEEEOOOOO!!!!

These charitable bracelets are made in Costa Rica, and a portion from each sold bracelet goes to saving the world. Here's the story:

These two guys went to Costa Rica for a vacation and came across this other guy named Jorge who was making these bracelets. They bought a bunch from Jorge and brought it back to the States. They ended up becoming business partners and now they're being sold in a lot of different stores. Basically, Pura Vida means "pure life" in Spanish, and the idea behind it is "Enjoying life slowly, celebrating good fortune and not taking anything for granted embodies the Pura Vida Lifestyle". That was the only thing I couldn't paraphrase because I honestly couldn't put it in better words.

I'm using this blog to spread the word because campus reps are supposed to use their Facebook accounts to spread the Pura Vida message but seeing as I don't have Facebook, I suggested using my blog as a way to spread the word. I would really appreciate it if everyone supported my position as a campus rep by checking this every time I tell you to and pretending to care.

For some motivation, I'd like to mention right now that along with stickers and other items of awesomeness, I get 10 FREE (that's pronounced FUH-REE) Pura Vida Bracelets to hand out to all my lovely friends/acquaintances/random people on my contact list.
